Female student struck by vehicle in front of Life Sciences Complex

A Chevy Suburban heading north on College Place struck a Syracuse University student in front of the Life Sciences Complex on Monday afternoon.

The student, a 22-year-old woman, sustained minor arm and hip injuries and was taken to Upstate Medical Hospital as a precaution, said Sgt. Gary Bulinksi of the Syracuse Police Department.

SPD is not releasing the name of the student at this time, Bulinski said.

The driver, 51-year-old Irene Peach of Syracuse, was not issued any tickets when SPD responded to the scene, Bulinski said.
