Tickets to see comedian Jim Gaffigan perform sell out Wednesday afternoon

Tickets to see comedian Jim Gaffigan perform at Syracuse University sold out Wednesday afternoon, nine days after going on sale.

University Union made 1,500 tickets available for the show at $5 per ticket starting on Sept. 15, according to a UU press release. Tickets were available to all SU and State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry students, faculty and staff.

The show will take place on Oct. 25 at 7:15 p.m. in Goldstein Auditorium. The comedy show marks the second sold out event of the semester for University Union after tickets to the Juice Jam music festival sold out in 11 days earlier this month.

Gaffigan is best known for his most recent comedy special, “Obsessed,” and for his 2013 memoir “Dad is Fat.” He has also made frequent appearances on late night talk shows including “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Tonight Show.”
