Syracuse football operations and recruiting administrator Cole Dial was let go on Friday, according to Scout.com.

Dial is no longer listed on the Orange’s staff directory. SU has made several changes to its staff in the past week, officially hiring four support staff members and six assistant coaches, while also hiring two more assistants, according to their Twitter bios.

Dial worked in the recruiting department under then-director of recruiting operations Eric White. On Wednesday, White reportedly took a job in the player personnel department at Maryland, where he will reunite with defensive coordinator Scott Shafer, who is Syracuse’s former head coach. The Orange hired Dino Babers to replace Shafer on Dec. 5.

“He helps me out a ton,” White said of Dial in a September interview. “He helps form relationships with these kids as well. On visits, he’s showing kids around, also. And he’s looking at game results of all of our recruits.”

Seven players have left SU’s 2016 recruiting class since Babers was hired and four have joined it. The class now sits at 12 commits with less than a month until National Signing Day.
