The Fort Myers, Florida, native was a three-star prospect out of high school and a three-star transfer, per 247Sports. He was the No. 61 overall player coming out of Florida and committed to the University of Florida. He appeared in just one game with the Gators over two seasons before transferring to Marshall last offseason.
Thomas was part of the mass exodus of players from Marshall after former head coach Charles Huff left for Southern Mississippi. Thomas is the first defensive line transfer to commit to Syracuse out of the portal thus far.
