Bicyclist struck by car Friday afternoon
A 52-year-old man was struck by a 2008 Nissan Maxima at the intersection of South Crouse and Waverly Avenues Friday afternoon.
The man, who was on his bicycle at the time, injured his thumb and was taken to Upstate Medical University for “precautionary measures,” said Sgt. Gary Bulinski of the Syracuse Police Department.
Names of those involved are currently not being released, Bulinski said. No one in the vehicle was injured.
There was minimal damage to the car and no tickets were issued at the scene, Bulinski said.
